International Competition: The International Competition section is a section of Short Films and Documentary Films. A total of about 20 films will be selected International Competition section from the entries received. The films will compete for 3 Cash Awards of total Award Money of Rs. 10,00,00 (USD 20,000 approx). |

This documentary film seeks to a highlight the fascinating story of how Rabindranath Tagore’s Gitanjali by went on to win the Nobel Prize for literature in 1913.The impact of Gitanjali in the West was quite strong - It was translated into all major European languages and offered spiritual strength to a wide range of people, from poet Wilfred Owen who went to his death fighting as a soldier in the first world war with a poem from Gitanjali in his pocket, to French Prime Minister Georges Clemenceau, who read from the Gitanjali when war was declared.
